A Letter from Lindy Sept 24

Beloved Pilgrims,

Such a beautiful, energetic week in anticipation of Pride! My hope is that we turn out in wonderful Pilgrim force to join in bearing witness to God’s inclusive, expansive love. There are so many ways to immerse yourself this weekend in beloved Spirit, so pace yourself. Of course, join us in the Parade and at Pilgrim’s booth. To ground yourself in and offer God’s love through religious practice, please join us at ERUUF for Durham’s multi-faith service at 7:30pm and again at 1pm on campus to break bread and share God’s overflowing cup with all whom might be seeking beloved community.
see you in a few days,

As I shared with Pilgrim’s newly elected officers, it feels so incredibly special to then install them into their respective roles in worship on Pride! Sunday. Please come to lend your hearts, minds and souls in affirming their willingness to lead and guide us along the way. There is joyous work to be done with-in and with-out our church walls. Our community at 3011 Academy and our city and county neighbors will always be better when we invest together in growing God’s kindom on earth as it is in heaven. I can’t wait to see what unfolds this year and beckons us forth to be Christ’s hands, feet and heart for those we meet along the Way.
