Family/Youth updates from Felix March 29

Greetings Pilgrims,

I don't even know where to start. There are so many different directions this letter could go. I'll keep it simple. In the words of my therapist "We are all freaking out. That's ok. We have incredible strength, resilience, and creativity. Time carries on. Take it a day at a time and focus on the day ahead of you." Please care for each other and yourselves, make phone calls, and be brave enough to ask for help.

Everyone is invited to also share moments in your journey on our social media, be it FacebookInstagramTwitter, or YouTube. What is going on for you? Let's cheer each other on and also offer community to those beyond us who are wandering the interwebs. If you have a fit of creative inspiration for something you think our church could consider, also check in! I'd love to read your e-mails or see any of your faces through my computer during office hours.

My heart is with all of you as we navigate this strange and scary time together.

Love,

Felix

Pilgrim Virtual Family/Youth Opportunities!
Since the April 18th Duke Gardens family hang-out date will almost certainly need to be postponed here are some other family opportunities for you to consider.

Pilgrim Children's Time. Come join us with your little ones! Expect real time interactive and personalized read alouds for ages 4-10 plus either a craft/ bible story time as well as a movement activity or sing along. E-mail Felix if you'd like to be a reader/sing-a-long leader etc. in a future week!

We're experimenting with a virtual parent fellowship time, a.k.a. "Bring Your Own Dang Beverage" hour, meeting this Thursday at 8 pm. Let's share strategies about being with our progeny 24/7, compare home school tips, generally vent, as well as discuss if a more regular virtual coffee/beverage hour would be helpful for each of us in the coming weeks.

Teen Meet-up! The next teen meeting will be Sunday April 26th from 12:45-1:45 pm! Let's check in about all this craziness...but online of course:), talk a bit about God, and keep working our projects for the community.

Get in the loop! If you are a parent or grandparent of a child or youth and would like to be kept abreast of family meet-ups, youth meet-ups, or any other opportunities involving young people at Pilgrim please e-mail fflanders.pucc@gmail.com to get on the corresponding listservs.
