SONAM Concert

SONAM:Singers of New & Ancient Music held its fall 2019 concert at Pilgrim on Sept 28. The concert, in support of The LGBTQ Center of Durham, was part of the PRIDE festivities.

The first piece they sang was Surge, Propera Amica Mea by Tiburtio Massaino from the Song of Songs 2:10-12a. Translation:

Arise, my love, and come away;

for now the winter is past,

the rain is over and gone.

The flowers appear in our land.
