Pilgrims,
Banners have been unfurled. Supplies loaded. Liturgies planned. We are as ready as we can be. Pride weekend is full. If the calendar has escaped your glance or you haven't been on campus recently, let me invite you to any and all of the events in which Pilgrim will be participating. My prayer is that together we will bear a love-filled light to those who join in the festivities. The more of us there are, the stronger the light-beam will shine.

To ground us in the intention of the Pride organizers wide embrace, I invite you to begin this weekend in worship at Eno River UU Fellowship at 6:30pm for a time of story and song and ritual: Many Journeys, Many Voices, a Multi-Faith Pride Service.

Saturday brings wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate within community. Come to the Pilgrim Pride booth (10-4) and welcome festival goers and invite them to come to know us. If you are in the walking/marching mood, join your fellow Pilgrims in the Pride parade (11am) and check out our new banner leading the way.

After a long day in the sun, get your energy back at Pilgrim with an uplifting SONAM Pride concert (4pm) in the sanctuary.

Sunday, join us anew as we mark Pilgrim's 20th year commitment as an ONA (Open and Affirming) beloved community. Daily, we are reminded that there is much still to be done in witnessing to God's expansive embrace of whoever you are, wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. I am truly honored that we will be challenged and invited to participate in the work before us by our guest preacher, Kendra Johnson, Executive Director of Equality NC. Won't you join me in offering her a huge Pilgrim welcome.

My prayer always is that when we show up, we translate God's word into action.

Pastor Lindy
