Sunday Morning Service
At Pilgrim, we always say no matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are most certainly welcome here.
Our worship service begins with a warm welcome from one of our pastors. The service continues with congregational singing, exchanging the Peace of God with each other, and prayers of the people. This is followed by the sermon and, on the first Sunday of the month, Communion. An informal Communion service is offered immediately following worship all other Sundays of the month in the nearby Dowdy Room.
Children are invited to the front for a special time of participating — and leading — in worship. At the end of the Time with Children, they lead the congregation in saying the Lord’s Prayer. On first Sundays, they collect pennies to buy food for meals served at the Community Kitchen.
Afterwards, children in Pre-K through 6th grades are invited to learn together in their Sunday school classes. Younger children are welcome to stay in worship with their families or go to the nursery.
