Pilgrim to support new UCC ministry
Pilgrims voted to support Common Life Church & Farm, a new ministry of the United Church of Christ now forming in Alamance County, at their annual meeting on February 4.
Pilgrim will act as fiduciary of funds for Common Life Church and Farm until they become an independent church. The new congregation will gather for weekly worship by gardening and then sharing a meal together — a dinner church model that will reflect on faith, spirituality and values. The new church will garden together in a sacred act of “keeping and tilling” the land — an invitation to practice God’s justice and peace in an embodied way. Sarah Horton-Campbell feels called to start this new church. To learn more, click here.
