Every year during Advent, donations from the congregation are used to purchase gifts for several families selected by Durham Social Services as being in need of help. Our participation in this task inspires everyone with the Christmas spirit.
On Tuesday nights in October (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th) we will present an educational series about trans and gender non-conforming identity and how we can be better allies and advocates as people of faith.
Join Pilgrim parents on second Thursdays from 7:30-8:45 pm in the Dowdy room for prayer, meditation, sharing and occasional reading and reflection.
We welcome new participants, even if your attendance is infrequent. We welcome mothers, fathers, caregivers of children of any age.
Childcare can be provided if you let us know ahead of time. Please ask Alice Dolbow if you want to learn more about the group.
During Lent 2013, the Board of Christian Service hosted a series on poverty in Fellowship Hall.
In Oct 2013, Pilgrim’s Board of Christian Service hosted an educational series led by Camryn and Ernest Smith, Asset Based Community Development Facilitators and Congregational Coaches, exploring ways that faith communities can engage marginalized people in our neighborhood and empower them to help themselves.

CoSA circles are created with one purpose: No More Victims.
CoSA work to reduce the risk of future sexual victimization by supporting individuals released from prison with a covenantal relationship in their task of leading responsible lives. Reducing the isolation and secrecy reduces the likelihood of a re-offense. For more information, visit www.durhamcosa.org or contact Drew Doll at firstname.lastname@example.org.
