O’Kelly Service on the Eno R. May 27
On Sunday, May 27th, our morning service was be held at Eno River State Park, followed by a potluck lunch. We are following a tradition at Pilgrim of worshipping close to the outdoors, formerly at O’Kelly Chapel, which was the home church of James O’Kelly, the founder of our congregation.
This year, we sang lots of old-timer hymns, were led in the Lord’s Prayer by our children, shared communion, listened to special music by the choir and by Marty Christian, and welcomed Kayla Keller as our Ministerial Intern from Duke Divinity School. And then enjoyed our potluck feast!
