What a fun Homecoming we had! The food was delicious…the pies, well, need I say more? Feedback we received is that the tours were the greatest hit!. Who knew of the need? What we learned anew is that it takes many, many hands and hearts to bring this event into being, so when you are asked in the future…..say yes! Please give a huge thank you to Pilgrim’s Ambassadors. This small but mighty committee continues to outdo itself every year. They need more than our gratitude, though. They need any and all willing members to serve and join in our efforts to welcome and celebrate all who come through our doors. Please, please if you could possibly offer your gifts, reach out to Maggie Dolbow and let her know. I can guarantee, she will take you up on your offer.
Thank you also for all who to the step of offering your pledge on Commitment Sunday. We are now on our way….but not there yet. If you didn’t join us last Sunday and have a pledge card to submit, you can do so this Sunday and next….or drop it off/mail it to the office. If you were in worship, but were not yet in a place of determining how best to offer the gift of your time, talent and resources, will you prayerfully do so. If you have never taken the step of giving of yourself to Pilgrim, will you open yourself to God to see how God might use you in and through this community who claims you and whom you claim.
I know together, God will do more than we can ever imagine, through us.
