Our Deacons are hosting a Care Group Get-Together this Sunday, February 11. Let’s be church, let’s build community!
One of the goals of forming deacon care groups is to provide opportunities for Pilgrims to get to know one another better and strengthen community.
Sarah Horton-Campbell (member in discernment, agricultural guru, and yoga instructor extraordinaire) has offered to lead us in a yoga meditation in Fellowship Hall.
Here are a few notes:
- This will be a gentle yoga practice and meditation for all experience levels and body types. We’ll focus on being centered with ourselves and becoming more connected with one another.
- Bring a yoga mat or towel (or both for extra padding)
- If you have an extra yoga mat, please bring it for someone else who may not have one
- Wear comfortable clothes – you can always change before worship if you feel the need, but feel free to remain in your comfy clothes too – “whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey…” 😊
Schedule:
9:00-9:10 – Welcome and introductions
9:10-9:50 – Gentle Asana practice
9:50-10:00 – Meditation
10:00-10:25 – Light breakfast/snacks/coffee
If yoga is not your thing, feel free to come for the food and company.
For those of you with kids, they are certainly welcome as well!
If you sing in choir and are concerned with practice, Roman says you can step out at 9:50… or skip rehearsal that morning altogether if you wish.
