What a fun-packed weekend we have to celebrate Matt’s year long journey with Pilgrim. On Saturday, I hope you find your way to St. Paul’s Lutheran church to join in their block party from 11-2. There will be food trucks and activities abound, so I hope we find time in the day to join them.
Sunday, we will commission Matt with our blessing as he takes the next step on his journey to live into the call God has placed on his life. After our time of worship and fellowship, the YAs have organized for a Pilgrim group to lunch together at East Cut Sandwich on Old Chapel Hill Rd. If you want to join the group, please let Kimmery Miguel know, so she can add your name to our list. If you forget and want to come, no worries. We are just trying to give the restaurant a head count so they can plan accordingly.
Finally, as you have heard, Pilgrim received a $1000 grant for having achieved 100 miles of hiking, walking, riding etc. through the NC Council of Churches Wellness program. Our commitment is to continue to adopt as church an integrated and holistic wellness ethos as part of our faith journey.
