A lasagna dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. with donations at the door. Special desserts will be sold by members of the church Auxiliary. There will be a live auction following dinner with a chance to bid for Carolina and Duke men’s basketball tickets, tours of Duke Gardens, beach cottage rentals, and many more items, as well as items that can be purchased through a silent auction.

Pilgrims, please join members, new and old, after church service on Sunday, November 12th, in Fellowship Hall. We will have a potluck lunch, games, photo booth, and all-round fun as we get to celebrate new members joining us.
We will be sending out meal and dessert requests very shortly. This event is brought to you by Pilgrim Ambassadors, who help visitors and new members become acquainted with Pilgrim.
For all who have been worshipping with, visiting, checking Pilgrim out for a while, won’t you join us and come home to Pilgrim? Together, we will bear Christ’s light to beacon others into God’s embrace.
They are preparing to welcome youth from Judea Reform to our worship service on October 15th and an interfaith dialogue — with pizza — afterwards.

An opportunity to help others with our Muslim neighbors!
Rev. Melinda “Lindy” Keenan Wood was called by the Pilgrim UCC congregation on June 25 as our new Senior Pastor. Rev. Wood will arrive at Pilgrim for her first day or work here on September 11 and her first Sunday in worship will be September 18.
On Saturday, June 24th, the long-awaited day finally came: our next settled senior pastor arrived! — for a “visit.” That day, our Fellowship Hall was full of Pilgrims who had come to see the great unveiling — and enjoy the multi-table spread put out by our always fantastic Fellowship Committee.
Rev. Melinda “Lindy” Keenan Wood helped lead our service on Sunday. After worship, our congregation voted to call Rev. Lindy as our next senior pastor, and all God’s Pilgrims cheered.
